Serie Traces untersucht das Konzept der Spur als Manifestation vergangener Erfahrungen. Wasser als fundamentales Element ist ein zentraler Fokus diese Serie. Ich versuche dessen vielfältige Eigenschaften und Bedeutung für das menschliche Leben und die Umwelt zu verstehen. Dabei handelt es sich nicht nur um eine lebenswichtige Ressource, sondern das Wasser gilt hier als Katalysator für Veränderung und Transformation. Gleichzeitig ist es ein elementarer Bestandteil unseres Körpers, sowie Raum der Verbindung und nicht der Trennung.

Kristina Popov is an interdisciplinary artist who has been living and working in Berlin since 2020.
Her works delve deeply into the emotional and visual memory, exploring the concept of traces as manifestations of past experiences. The main focus lies on water as a fundamental element. She examines its diverse properties and significance for human life and the environment. Water is not only a vital resource but also symbolizes change and transformation in her works. Using analog techniques and water as a medium, she establishes direct interaction with the viewer, aiming to raise awareness about the fragility of nature.She calls for a more conscious approach to this precious resource and for measures to be taken to protect water. Through her work and art actions, she wants to inspire people to reflect on their relationship with water and to take action to preserve the natural environment.
