About the artist
Florian Japp studied at the HfbK in Hamburg with Professor Bogomir Ecker and moved to Berlin in 1998, where he lives and works. Japp's sculptural objects are abstractions of our material and industrial world.
His interest lies in the examination of a world shaped by actions. Suggesting meaning and utility, but obviously not fulfilling, objects of uncertainty, of doubt emerge from the mesh of borrowed industrial goods.
