After opening a porcelain car dealership at Liebig 12 in 2024, I've decided to render a piece of my neighborhood around Hermannplatz in this material as well. My interest in working with porcelain lies in rendering places and things in this fragile and noble material, contradicting the experience of their real-world counterparts we interact with, while also genuinely giving attention to this architecture and the society that lives inside it through a combination of animation, sculpture, and printmaking techniques.

About the artist

Izzy Liberti is a multi-media artist mainly working across the mediums of printmaking, animation, installation, and ceramics. She received her BFA in Animation and Printmaking from MassArt in Boston, Massachusetts in 2019 and is currently pursuing a masters degree at the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weissensee. She lives and works in Berlin.
