The concept for the "FrameWork on Paper [FWP]" series was created parallel to the audiovisual [H_RP*] installation "112.5 FrameWork" and quickly took up so much space that it became an emancipated, stand-alone series of works. Both strands of work, the media installations and the works on paper, address immediacy and physical interaction with frame and format, also as symbols for liberation from the same.

About the artist

Christian Graupner, also known as VOOV, is the founder of angstbasel.com. He studied graphic arts and drawing under Jürgen Brodwolf and taught himself music and media skills. He founded HUMATIC as a brand and production company in 1999 together with software artist Nils Peters and the music label.humatic.net in 2019. CG was a guest artist at ZKM, gave lectures at IRCAM, HGKZ Zurich, FH Potsdam & Hannover design schools, Merz-Akademie & more. HUMATIC took part in international exhibitions and festivals such as CYNET ART, biennale NEMO, Ars Electronica, Haubrok Foundation Fahrbereitschaft Bln, ZKM, Japan Media Arts Festival, EMPAC NY, Guthman New Musical Instruments Award, Taiwan National Museum of Fine Arts, Biennale Munich, Neurotitan Berlin and many more.
